Super Full Moon

Tonight is a super full moon. This doesn’t just mean the moon is more awesome than usual. The moon is 50,000kms closer than usual, making it appear 14% larger than normal.

The Persied meteor shower is also having its best display tonight. There could be about 60 meteors an hour if you are lucky enough to be far away from city lights, thought some of this will be drowned out by the super full moon.

Science is awesome, isn’t it?
